Tony Iommi explains how he will approach film score

Thu, 10 Nov 2011

Back in 2009 Black Sabbth founding guitarist, Tony Iommi signed a deal with TV producer Mike Fleiss to launch a series of horror films based on the Black Sabbath brand in conjunction with Fleiss production company Next Films.

Any news stories regarding a possible film score composed by the hard-rock legend, up until recently, had been few & far between. However in a recent interview with VH1 Radio's, Dave Basner, Iommi discussed how he might approach the music for the horror franchise, he said:

"I'll be redoing some of the Sabbath stuff in more of a different vein, maybe, and some new stuff. So it's open. We haven't actually gotten to the movie part yet where I can say, 'Oh, I can see this bit on this.' And that's another interesting project for me to have a go at. I like a little bit of a challenge. I might be really crap at it, I don't know."

In related news Iommi & the original Black Sabbath lineup will be making an announcment at LA's legendary live venue Whisky A Go Go on Friday (Nov.11) possibly regarding their long-rumoured reunion project.
