Black Sabbath Reunite (officially)

The reunion that's been buzzing around the internet for most of 2011 finally became official today, Black Sabbath's original line up of Singer Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward announced today at Sunset Strips legendary "Whisky A Go Go" that they would be recording a new album, headlining Download Festival AND embarking on a world arena tour in 2012!

The new record will be produced by industry acclaimed and celebrated producer Rick Rubin, who was also in attendance at the press conference to make the announcement - he also played an integral part in convincing them band to return to the studio together. "He phoned us every five minutes," Tony Iommi said of Rubin.

"It's now or never. We are getting along great. Everything's really good," the guitarist also said at the press conference of the band being together again, "It's like putting on an old glove. It's fantastic," he added.

US magazine Revolver were at the event and have posted the following video clip of the announcement.
