An autographed copy of 'Please Please Me' by The Beatles has sold for $12,720

Thu, 17 Nov 2011

An autographed Beatles single has sold for a staggering $12,720,00 on Ebay, reports UltimateClassicRock

The red Parlophone single 'Please Please Me' was signed by George Harrison & John Lennon on the A-side with signatures from Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr on the B-side which plays 'Ask Me Why.'

The vinyl single is one of only three known copies to surface from the signing session at NEMS on Jan.24 1963, which is one of the reasons for the winning bid being so high.

The single went through Tracks Ltd, who are one of the biggest dealers and authentications in the UK and Europe and the copy includes an additional guarantee of its authentication. Furthermore, the vinyl was listed by the seller as in very good condition with no warps.
