Led Zeppelin enter the US charts for the first time since '87

Mon, 21 Nov 2011

Led Zeppelin have entered the US charts for the first time since 1987, reports Billboard.Biz (via HenneMusic)

The album in question is Led Zeppelin's fourth release, 'Led Zeppelin IV' which was first released on Nov.8 in 1971.

The current resurgence may be down to the album recently celebrating its 40th Anniversary as well as the album's price, which is currently only $6.99 on iTunes.

Last week alone the album sold around 3,600 copies and overall sales are up 273% and 654% in digital downloads.

'Led Zeppelin IV' is the third best-selling album of all time in the U.S., with cumulative sales of more than 23 million.
