The Eagles planning 40th anniversary tour

The Eagles are set to celebrate their 40th Anniversary in 2012 with a tour according to guitarist Joe Walsh.

In a recent interview with RollingStone.com the guitarist said of the plans for the tour, "Everybody's seen our show, so we have to put together something new. 

We've been archiving so much stuff from the band's early days, concert footage and interviews and stuff. Those will be the visuals to go along with the songs. 

We'll also revisit some old songs and some new stuff." 


The band are looking to tour for 4-5 months in the later part of the year, in the meantime Walsh will be finishing up work on his new solo album, scheduled for a Spring 2012 release.
