Tue, 22 Nov 2011

Dimebag Darrell

Tampa Bay will be the host for next year's 'Ride For Dime' charity event which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 31st March 2012, reports LoudWire

The money raised from the motorcycle cruise, which honours the life & legacy of late Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell, will go towards a number of children's charities such as Little Kids Rock & the RFD (Ride For Dime) Scholarship Fund.

Originally formed in Arlignton, Texas in 2005 by friends and family of Dime, the organization has now grown to having six chapters located in Texas, Philadelphia, Chicago, Florida, Wisconsin & Minnesota. Each chapter will hold its own event with all proceeds going directly to a number children's charities.

"Check it out and come on out and celebrate my brother’s life. He was a beautiful man and great person and Ride for Dime has their heart in the right place," says his brother and bandmate Vinnie Paul Abbott.

The 2012 Ride For Dime event is sponsored by Dean Guitars.
