The Prodigy to debut new music at Download Festival next June
Fri, 25 Nov 2011
Earlier this month Download Festival announced their 3 headliners for June
2012, the 10th anniversary of the festival at Donnington Park.
Friday night headliners, The Prodigy, have revealed in an interview with Kerrang! Magazine that they'll premiere their new material at the festival.
"We are definitely going to bring the party and make sure it rocks. It's the only festival appearance we are doing in 2012, so we're going to make sure it's really special. We're also going to be dropping some of the new stuff that we have been doing in the studio. It's going to be ****ing ferocious." frontman Liam Howlett tells the magazine.
Saturday night headliners, Metallica previously announced they'll be playing their self-titled album, also commonly known as "The Black Album" in its entirety during their spot at the iconic festival site, but have admitted they may have to re-learn some of the songs that they've never played live.
The newly reformed Black Sabbath original line up will close out the festival on the Sunday night.
