Muse 'split rumour' hoax

A recent rumour circulating after a fake NME.com web page was created and spread throughout the internet via Twitter, making it to Muse's official fan message boards and spreading the rumour throughout the world.

NME.com today made an announcement to confirm the page was a hoax.

The fake page claimed the band had split after an argument but an official spokesman for the band has denied the rumour.

The band have been hard at work on their new studio album, and aiming for a 2012 release.
