Blur to receive Outstanding Contribution To Music Award at the 2012 Brits

As news that Blur will be getting together in 2012 to work on new material makes it way online, the Brit awards have announced they'll be honouring the band at the 2012 award ceremony.

On the bands official website www.blur.co.uk, frontman Damon Albarn says the award is "recognition for all the work and all the heartache that has gone into this band."

The band will be presented with the "Outstanding Contribution To Music Award" at the 2012 Brit Awards ceremony that will take place February 21st in London.
