Billy Gibbons gives update on the new ZZ Top album
Fri, 09 Dec 2011
ZZ Top have given fans an update on the progress of their long overdue new album, reports UltimateClassicRock
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Gibbons reveals that 'presently, it would be safe to say that spring of the year 2012' is when we can expect the new Rick Rubin produced album.
According to Gibbons working with the producer colossus has brought a calming influence to the recording sessions adding 'latitude' that made the pacing neither 'hurried' or 'rushed.'
The Texas trio also claims that the 'relaxed approach' has given 'That Lil Ol Band From Texas' enough time to really consider what they are putting out.
He said:
"We consider it a big bonus, the luxury of extra time. [You] go back and check it out and sure enough…you turn that sudden right corner that was unexpected and you say ‘wait a minute, let’s keep this extra piece."
