Brian May uncertain of Queen's future
Wed, 21 Dec 2011
Queen's Brian May & Roger Taylor have been very busy this year preparing for the slew of 40th Anniversary reissues of their entire back catalogue, with the final five to be released in 2012. The band were also honoured as 'Global Icons' at this year's MTV Europe awards show.
However, in a recent interview with the BBC (via UltimateClassicGuitar) Brian May revealed that he isn't entirely sure of the bands future.
After responding to a question about what's next for the band, May said frankly:
"I don’t know, I’m asking myself that question a lot."
He goes on:
"We don’t have a complete band as you know. We don’t have Freddie and effectively we don’t have John anymore, it’s just Roger (Taylor) and me and the question always comes up what are we doing? Are we Queen? In a sense we are but in a sense we never can be."
