An autographed copy of 'Meet The Beatles' is for sale..for $90,000

Fri, 23 Dec 2011

A copy of The Beatles debut album 'Meet the Beatles' which also features signatures from all four members of the group is currently for sale at Heritage Auctions, reports UltimateClassicRock

However, you will need to stump up the best part of $90,000 if you wish to own this incredible piece of rock n roll history.

The album, which features Fab Four classics such as 'I Wanna Be Your Man', 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' & 'All My Loving', was the first Beatles release through Capitol Records and was ranked at number 59 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The album recently failed to reach the minimum desired bid in their music & entertainment signature auction on Dec.13.

"An original pressing of this classic album is cool enough in and of itself, given that it introduced so many millions to the timeless music of The Beatles," said Garry Shrum, Consignment Director of Music & Entertainment Auctions at Heritage. "Add the autographs of all four members of the band and you have one of the great Beatles collectibles of all time."

The album was originally a gift given to Dr.Jules Gordon by George Harrison in February 1964. The album has remained in the Gordon family ever since & is currently owned by Dr. Gordon's son, Jeffery Gordon.
