Stone Sour play Rock in Rio with Mike Portnoy

Mon, 26 September 2011
At the weekend, as previously announced, Stone Sour took to the stage with Mike Portnoy at Brazil's world famous "Rock In Rio" festival.

Footage was streamed live of their set around the world, and a fan has captured and uploaded their performance together (seen below).

Portnoy was filling in for friend and Stone Sour drummer Roy Mayorga who was at home with his wife, who are expecting the birth of their first daughter.  Roy Mayorga asked Mike Portnoy personally to take his place.

Stone Sour's frontman Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root played double duty at the weekend when Slipknot played the next night at the festival. See footage here.

Stone Sour will be releasing their "Live In Brighton" DVD later this year.
