Tue, 27 September 2011

LA Glam metallers W.A.S.P have announced details of a massive anniversary tour set to kick off in the UK in 2012, according to their official website.

The 30th anniversary tour dubbed, '30 Years of Thunder' will be "the biggest spectacle W.A.S.P have ever created." The tour will kick off on Sept.21 2012 which, come the date, will be exactly 30 years to the day that the foursome line up to play the Troubadour in Los Angeles for the very first time

The W.A.S.P world tour will consist of a two hour showcase made up of three parts. The first hour will be filled with classics from the eighties cult icons first four albums such as 'I Wanna Be Somebody', 'Blind in Texas' & 'I Don't Need No Doctor'. The second part will be a 25 minute version of The Crimson Idol complete with movie accompaniment. The third part will consist of material from their newest studio offering.

The show will see multiple video screens, pyrotechnics, and elements from the early W.A.S.P. shows (maybe even an exploding cod piece) and Blackie’s moving microphone stand "Elvis"!
