Van Halen to perform at New York's Cafe Wha tomorrow night and name new single

Journalists in the New York area have been invited to a special Van Halen concert at New York city's Cafe Wha? on Thursday evening according to Rollingstone.com, although nothing official has yet been revealed about the show in Greenwich Village.

It's reported that the band will play a 45 minute set for the invited guests at the 250 seat club, to launch and preview new material from their upcoming album, due for release next month.



The band will release their first single will be titled "Tattoo" and is set to premiere online on January 10th to coincide with tickets for their upcoming tour going onsale.  

The tour is rumoured to be kicking off in February 2012 to coincide with the album release on February 7th, the band have been in rehearsals at the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles to get ready for the tour.
