Corey Taylor talks about new Stone Sour album

Wed, 04 Jan 2012

Stone Sour are currently working on the follow up to their 2010 album "Audio Secrecy" and whilst the band are still writing and recording material for the record, frontman Corey Taylor is confident the album will be "the biggest thing we've ever done in our career."

2012 will see Stone Sour hit the studio to record the album in between Slipknot's tour commitments with Australia's Soundwave Festive and North American Summer tour (expected from mid-June).

"We're still writing and recording stuff," Taylor says in a recent interview with Artisan News. "Right now alone, we have 13 completed songs, with six more that I can demo, probably two or three that Josh (Rand) still has that we're tweaking, and then a bunch that Jim's (Root) gonna bring in. Our ultimate goal is a double concept album, which the only way I can describe it is Pink Floyd's "The Wall" meets Alice In Chains "Dirt" on steroids. And I think it's gonna be fantastic. And if I can pull it off, it's gonna be the biggest thing we've ever done in our career."
