Glam-rock godfathers, KISS, are reportedly just two days away from finishing their new album, according to UltimateClassicRock
The new record, entitled 'Monster', will be their 20th studio offering and is currently being wrapped up at The Nook, in Hollywood with producer Greg Collins.
Paul Stanley, who also co-produced the LP, said:
"It’s awesome… by far the best thing we’ve done in I don’t know how long. Have I said that before? Yeah. Was I right? Yeah! I’m right this time again!"
So far, only five tracks have been confirmed for the new album, they are 'Hell or Hallelujah', 'Born to Be a Sinner', 'Out of This World', 'Are You Ready' and 'Wall of Sound'.
KISS have been trying to recapture their early 70's sound with a more heavier vibe on the new record and are using analogue recording equipment.
KISS bassist Gene Simmons said in a recent interview:
"The actual recording process was 24-track tape and an old Trident board. Analog is the love of your life. You can push real hard and it always gives back."
Monster is slated for a late spring 2012 release.
