Were Black Sabbath the real big headliner fo Coachella 2012?

Rumours and reports have surfaced online yesterday after Coachella announced their 2012 line up that Black Sabbath were signed on to headline the 2 weekend event in the southern California desert.

Yesterday, Billboard.com reported that the recently reformed metal icons nwere infact one of the planned headliners for Southern California's festival but were forced to pull out ahead of the announcement after guitarist Tony Iommi's recent Lymphoma diagnosis that shocked fans at the beginning of the week.

Currently the legendary guitarist is working with his doctors to find the best treatment and is determined to make a full recovery, its unknown if any cancellations to their already confirmed live dates and Download Festival headlining spot will occur following his condition.
