Original Kiss drummer named Drum Legend

On Saturday Guitar Center held their annual at Los Angeles' Club Nokia hosted by Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins.

The event featured performances from an All-star drum line up including Terry Bozzio, Dennis Chambers, Mike Portnoy, Ilan Rubin, Aaron Spears and Brooks Wackerman plus other top musicians joining the drummers onstage at the venue and of course the 5 finalists in the Drum Off Competition.

At the annual event they also celebrating the Drum Legend icons, past honourees have included John Bonham, Billy Cobham, Nicko McBrain, Steve Smith, Dave Garibaldi, Alan White, and Greg Errico.  

This year's icon was Kiss drummer Peter Criss, fan filmed footage from the award presentation can be seen below.



"Drum Legends" inductees are drummer who have made significant contributions to the craft and have hugely influences players by their style and illustrious music careers.
