Alter Bridge/Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti to release solo album this Spring
Tue, 24 Jan 2012
Mark Tremonti, guitarist for Creed and Alter Bridge, is set to release his debut solo record in 2012. The album titled "All I Was" is being aimed for a a Spring release date.
Tremonti will be taking the lead on all vocals on the record and has worked with Eric Friedman (backing vocals, guitar and bass) and Garrett Whitlock (drums) to create the album.
The guitarist recently described his solo album as being heavier than both his bands' music, and promised even more lead guitar solos than anything Creed and Alter Bridge have had in the past.
"It's a dynamic record. It's probably heavier than either CREED or A
LTER BRIDGE, but it's still melody-driven. Most of the stuff is more up-tempo and heavy-riffing though. I had to write eleven solos for this record so it took me a long time. There's lots of soloing." Tremonti tells ArtistDirect.
