Steve Vai receives "Les Paul Award" at TEC Awards

Steve Vai received the "Les Paul Award" at the 27th annual "Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards".

The awards that took place during the 2012 NAMM show in Anaheim on January 20th recognizes outstanding achievement in professional audio production and product design.

Steve Vai was honoured with the Les Paul Award, which is sponsored by the Les Paul Foundation and given annually to a musician who's work has epitomized the marriage of music and technology.  

Vai was presented the award by Billy Sheehan and Russ Paul at the event at the Hilton in Anaheim, California. Footage can be seen below.
