'Lost' Beatles solo discovered after 43 years

Tue, 31 Jan 2012

George Harrison

A 'lost' guitar solo taken from The Beatles' 1969 classic 'Here Comes The Sun' has surfaced after 43 years, reports NME

The solo was discovered by Harrison's son Dhani, Beatles' producer George Martin and his son Giles during a visit to the studio which gave its name to the album.

However the solo failed to make the final version of Harrison's contribution to the band's 11th studio offering 'Abbey Road'.

In the video the trio can be seen at the mixing desk listening to the original master tapes of 'Here Comes The Sun' when they discover the solo, which Dhani admits he had no clue it even existed.
