Corey Taylor talks more of his recording session with Dave Grohl
Wed, 01 Feb 2012
In mid January, Stone Sour and Slipknot frontman Corey
Taylor excitedly tweeted the news that he'd recorded a song with Dave Grohl.
Although nothing had been revealed about why the two had teamed up or when fans might be able to hear the song Taylor had said, "HUGE checks off the Bucket List today – did a song with Dave Grohl and Butch Vig. Do the words ‘holy sh–’ say enough about it?!?"
In a recent interview with Artisan News, Corey Taylor has now revealed the song was recorded as part of a documentary the Foo Fighters frontman is making on the legendary board at the Sound City Studios.
"Dave is doing a documentary about the legendary board from Sound City that everybody and their mom recorded on and he's slowly but surely gotten all these people together to make music on that board again." he explains in the video, the song the duo worked together on with Cheap Trick's Rick Nielson.
