Country music legend, Merle Haggard to go back on tour

Last month, country music legend Merle Haggard was forced to cut short his US tour when he was rushed to hospital in Georgia.

In a post on his official website www.merlehaggard.com, the musician thanked the people of Macon, Georgia for saving his life and that his double pneumonia is almost completed cleared.

He says, "Thanks to the wonderful people all over the world that prayed those special prayers. I’m a new man. Another special thanks to the folks of Macon, GA for their kindness, intelligence and probably saving my life!"
Merle Haggard is expecting to be 'back and up and running' by the end of the month.

We're glad to hear he's on the mend.
