Gary Moore exhibition in Belfast launches to celebrate his 60th Birthday

Yesterday, would have marked Gary Moore's 60th birthday but the guitarist sadly passed away in February 2011 whilst on holiday in Spain.

Born Robert William Gary Moore he born in Belfast on April 4th 1952. Throughout his career dating back to the 1960's, Moore played with artists including Phil Lynott & Brian Downey throughout his teens which led to his part in Irish bands Skid Row and Thin Lizzy.

Today, the the Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast launched a new exhibition to celerbate the life and work of the legendary guitarist.

BBC News reports that the exhibition will feature some of Gary Moore's personal memoravbilia, including his Gibson Les Paul guitar, gold albums and a tailored made barbed-wire suit - which was created for an Amnesty International show.

The exhibition will run until 30th June, admission is free.
