Steve Hackett & Chris Squire team up to form "Squackett"

Former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett and Yes bassist Chris Squire are set to release their debut album as "Squackett" on May 28th (UK)/ 29th (USA).

In a press release on Steve Hackett's official website it confirms, that Esoteric Antenna will release the new collaboration between the two prog-rock legends as well as a special 7 inch vinyl single for this weekends Record Store Day event.

Speaking of the upcoming album and its sounds, Chris Squire says "It has a flavour to it that is reminiscent of a few things from different artists. There is some clever prog rock stuff in there, some jazzy bits but there are parts that have vocal harmonies like Crosby, Stills and Nash"

The Record Store Day vinyl single will feature two album tracks from Squackett, "Sea of Smiles" and "Perfect Love Song". International Record Store Day takes place April 21st.
