Scott Weiland confirms his return to Velvet Revolver?

Tue, 15 May 2012
Last night the internet was buzzing with the news that Scott Weiland had reportedly confirmed he'd rejoined Velvet Revolver.

ABC News Radio released a report to say the Stone Temple Pilots frontman had revealed, "We've all grown a lot. We're able to put egos and differences and old… conflicts aside and so that's really cool."

The former Velvet Revolver singer went on to add, "They gave me a couple of new songs and myself and Dave Kushner and Duff McKagan are gonna be getting together for a songwriting session next week."

However, guitarist Slash denied Weiland's claims in an interview yesterday morning whilst on tour with his solo band.  Slash told Minnesota's 93X Rocks! "Scott's out of his mind."

He added "I have absolutely no intention of going back to that. I'm on tour all year. I'll call Duff, but I seriously doubt there is any truth to Weiland's comments. We have no intention of going backwards."

So far no other members of the band have made comments on this.
