Ronnie Wood art exhibition announced

Rolling Stone's Ronnie Wood will showcase a number of his paintings at an upcoming exhibit dedicated soley to his artwork, reports The Express

Ronnie, who received formal art training at Ealing College of Art, has continued painting & printmaking throughout his musical career whilst playing with the Jeff Beck Group, The Faces & obvioulsy The Rolling Stones.

Wood will showcase 100 of his pieces at The Gallery in Cork St, Mayfair. He told the Observer newspaper:

"People don't know that I'm an artist. Playing music as part of a team effort is wonderful, but to express individuality as an artist is very personal. Art is more powerful, a more personal statement."

The guitar legend's paintings range from self-portraits, to musicians such as Slash & Jimi Hendrix, to family & close friends.

Ronnie Wood's Faces, Time and Places exhibit runs from 7 - 12 November (11).
