The Darkness Announce 2013 World Tour

Thu, 08 November 2012
The UK rockers have just released dates for the first leg of their upcoming Let Them Eat Cakes World Tour.

Let Them Eat Cakes will promote the release of the band's third album, "Hot Cakes" which was released by the reunited rockers back in August.

The tour kicks off in January, then by mid February hits Europe before heading on to Australia and New Zealand in April

After the release of Permission To Land the band hit superstardom with songs like Love Is Only A Feeling and I Believe In A Thing Called Love, with their spandex clothes and extended guitar solos on stunning Gibson Les Paul's it was clear they were set to be icons for a generation. Unfortunately though, by he time 2005s One Way Ticket To Hell... And Back popularity had died down a little and guitarist and singer Justin Hawkins jumped ship to pursue a solo career. When British Whale and Hot Leg didn't pan out, and Darkness spinoff Stone Gods only got a little bit of attention the band reunited for the 2011 Download festival.

From There the group have found their place on the scene again, and after a support slot with Lady Gaga, it's no shock that they're back touring the world.
