Amazing DVD, being a massive fan of Synyster Gates i was a bit skeptical about this product, but after buying the DVD i was instantly impressed with Andy James' knowledge of the songs making everything simple. I will end with these two facts, Andy James is a brilliant teacher who would make Mr. Gates proud, and lastly i began the DVD and could play Bat Country note perfectly in an hour and a half, and ive only been playing for a year. My opinion BUY THIS DVD, andy please keep em comin. (learn to play avenged sevenfold 2?)

Man... even the trailer for the AV7X album is sic. Very impressive sound, note for note clarity when playing. This guy is fantastic.

Not a review as such, just a comment. For the intro of Almost Easy, the notes aren't bent upwards like that. They're slid up to, then Syn uses the trem arm to dip them slightly. Only the thrid phrase is the note bent upwards slightly.

Pretty cool, but one massive disappointment. In the trailer, Andy specifically mentions that he couldn't find a correct instructional for the "Afterlife" solo anywhere online, so he watched Syn play it on some behind the scenes DVD and worked it out to make sure he got it note for note correct. And he did--when he plays it full speed in the performance. BUT when he's teaching us to play it, he demonstrates one part (the crazy sweeping part) differently than the way he actually plays it full speed! So he took the time to figure out the solo note for note correct, demonstrates it full speed note for note correct, then teaches us wrong! It's still a great DVD, but that was so frustrating to me. That's the bands most popular track, and it's such a careless error to teach that part incorrectly.
