Levi Clay is one of the UKs fastest rising teachers and players with credits as an author and transcriber in some of the worlds most loved publications including LickLibrary's own Guitar Interactive Magazine. Coming from the rock background, Levi has developed his tastes considerably to include major influences from 40s jazz and blues, 50s rockabilly and western swing, to the funk and jazz fusion of the 70s. His bigger influences include Scott Henderson, Wayne Krantz, Brent Mason, Danny Gatton, Joe Pass, Pat Martino and Derek Trucks. Since moving to London in 2008 to study for his degree in music performance Levi went on to achieve further qualifications in teaching and pedagogy. He is now an in demand teacher, journalist and transcriber with experience that includes teaching at London's Guitar Institute and the prestigious IGF festivals, transcribing for top players, magazines and publishers the world over and writing for publications like Premier Guitar. Levi maintains a steady wave of students around the world who are drawn to his detailed and methodical approach and passion for blues, jazz and rock music.
